Have a look at Dr. Robert Burnstine, M.D., director of pediatric ophthalmology at Akron Children's Hospital. He has an operation now for Nystagmus. It's called "Horizontal Tenotomy" And can correct Nystagmus by about 25%...

I have absolutely fallen in love with your son! He is such a happy baby.

I came across your website by chance when I was researching images that I might be able to use to explain nystagmus - a search on Google brought up a number of different images but none as gorgeous as Drew.

The reason I was looking is because I am a fundraiser for a charity in the United Kingdom which funds research into eye disease and I am currently writing a funding application for a project at the University of Leicester,researching the use of two different drugs which in a small study has already shown that it can be of advantage to nystagmus patients. I would now like to ask a big favour - could I use a photograph of Drew (the one with the spectacles) in the application which would be sent to charitable foundations?

Our website is detailed above, and you will see that we are a bona fide charity and I would be happy to send you details of the project if you are interested or answer any other questions you may have. I can also assure you that the photograph would not be used in any other way than I have described.
